To Be Both Human & Spirit

Triggers happen.

They do.

There’s nothing we can do to stop them – because it is through our triggers that we learn about ourselves.

I still get triggered. Someone says something. Someone does something. Something happens.

BOOM – nice ME is GONE and triggered ME is there.

It’s inevitable.

I’ve come to believe that the journey is really about seeking the peace within the chaos – the Truth within the trigger.

Life is not about NOT being triggered. Life is about bringing LOVE and AWARENESS to our triggers and moments when our emotions come up.

You see, a lot of people I know make the mistake of shooting for a “spiritual bypass” – where they try to deny their humanness – they try to deny their emotions, they try to put their negativity and triggers in a box – and then pretend they don’t exist.

And then – over time – they stack up – and BOOM – you have a breakdown, an emotional explosion or other expression.

Having these doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you are human.

Here we advocate a full acceptance and expression of your human nature. This lets us be fully alive. From there, we also believe in tapping into the higher awareness that is your Soul, that is the observer of the human mind and emotions.

We are part spirit, part human. To deny either is to deny who you are.

We can’t sit around and just justify our negativity as “being human”. And we also can’t not express ourselves because we are “spiritual”. We need both.

This is the beautiful balance that we get to walk as spiritual beings having a human experience.

I have found that when I let myself express, when I allow myself to be who I am – without any judgment – amazing things happen.

And once I express myself – without judgment, I do my best to bring my awareness, my Soul perspective into the moment.

My aim is to have my Soul awareness be there as I am being triggered, so that I catch myself faster.

We all have triggers. We all have intense emotions, both dark and light. These are not good or bad – they are just information.

We must allow ourselves to express ourselves, we must allow ourselves to be FULLY human and FULLY spirit.

This dance is the dance that allows the greatest version of life to be lived.

So the underlying question remains How can you allow yourself to be both human and spirit?

The Woodsman and the Leprechaun

Long ago, a woodsman saved the life of a leprechaun and was given one wish. The woodsman thought for a long time and finally wished that each of his three daughters find a good husband.

But the leprechaun was full of games. “How am I to know what’s good in your mind? I’ll give them husbands, but you can name only one quality and it’s got to be the same for all. What’ll you have? I can make them clever, strong, beautiful, rich – you name it.”

The woodsman said, “Then give me men of good character.”

The leprechaun wasn’t done playing. “And how am I to know what good character is?”

“Do you have children?” asked the woodsman.

“I do,” said the leprechaun.

“And do you love them?”

“More than life itself.”

“Then give my girls the kind of men you want for your children.”

“Ah,” the leprechaun said, “then you shall have honorable men with kind and loving hearts. And I’ll throw in a strong conscience too.”

The woodsman was a shrewd man and a good father. He knew the well-being and happiness of his children depends on the quality of their relationships. The quality of their relationships depends on the quality of the people they are with.

But what if the woodsman was asked what one quality he wants in his own daughters? As a wise father he would again ask for good character. Whether it’s in one’s spouse or oneself, cleverness, good looks, and money are nice, but in the end the most essential quality of a good life is good character.

This is Michael Josephson reminding you that character counts.

Why Do we have to CHANGE! ???

Just had a conversation with my close friend and he asked me to change a few things in my attitude and behaviour, as he thinks I am “TOO KIND” , I was shocked to hear this , but he explained me well and said this world is not as good as one thinks and just there to use your good nature to their best interest..

Well I was not completely convinced, as I argued that “What goes around ,comes back around” and “Every Action has an equal and opposite reaction” , things just do not go in vain. But he argued on saying that one should do good if you get something good back from “good people” only and not do good or spend a penny even on people who are selfish..

Umm Do you think So ?? Well i agree to an extent but not completely … I think a person should just do whatever he feels, help or be good to anyone he wants not select and be good with a selected group of people…

Why This???   Why Change for the rest ??? Why Not just be Yourself ??   😦

You are never the same the next day

We all think that we are in control of our lives well the fact is that we are not. Every day situations and instances shape our lives even without you knowing it. You keep doing things that is in your cognitive sense. You unknowingly accept facts and convert those assumptions into reality for your own benefit. Call this trait of human behaviour good or bad, but it is one of the most critical facts which is and has always been a major psychological reason behind evolution of the “mind” alone.

I have come to believe after various observations that there are far too many possibilities more than societal , cultural & religious, which shape the human behaviour and mind. One may reason an adult to behave & think immature while a child to behave maturely are some vivid examples of  the development of human mind, which is different in various situations.

Thus everyday when we see, hear or taste something new , we are developing ourselves, unknowingly,  you therefore never remain the same person the next day! ….

My isolation

I have isolated myself from the past one week to be just concentrating on my work, dissertation, courseworks and exam reading. I have not met any friends , not spent time in socializing neither have I chatted with any one much. All I do is either put my head down in the library, researching or read a book in my room.

There are a few moments I feel that I wish to just run free , leave everything and be what I want to, forget all this, what is this that I am doing ? why this? , This makes me believe that I am here not just for education, but for a purpose, to understand and realize the purpose. That Purpose is different for different people, and we all observe and percieve it in a way that makes us comfortable.

Life has become a systems and a Process Modelling Diagram with a start and end to it, strings attached to it which if we slip, the strings break and we fall down into the valley of critizism, and torture.

Few people try to come out of the system, try to be a musical note without an end to it and be who you really want to be , but alas!, that is not what everyone acheves.

I have tried really hard on understanding the true purpose of my life, and believe me I still ammuse my self of what I have gone through and learnt from it. I beleieve we all are semenly connected through our psycological system, educating each other. All we need to know is how to gather this information, and knowledge and expand it beyond our means.

For all this text knowledge, we learn everyday in the books is all crap, what matters is , the knowledge of oneself, and that can be gained by knowing who you are.

I am still in the phase of my isolation and will soon come out of it when I believe I have achieved something, both material and spiritual, satisying my soul and mind.

For knowledge is not just about knowing, it is about truly understanding that , learning is a forever process which you will continue even after death!.
